Husky DuCks are students who are registered in Ms. Bedolla's English IV Dual Credit and/or AP classes at Holmes/Business Careers High School. The term "DuCks" was coined by former Dual Credit students who, in seeing the letters "DC" following the title of the class on their schedules, added the additional letters and adopted the Duck as our official class mascot. With the addition of AP to Ms. Bedolla's classes, the term "Duck" has come to encompass ALL of her students.
Why Ducks? Ducks are intelligent, hard working, incredibly loyal, fast, and inherently funny. Who wouldn't want to be a duck? :-)
